Advertiser Disclosure
Happily Abroad is an independent, advertising-supported travel blog. This page explains how we make money and how that affects what you see on the site.
How we make money
The site is free to read. Most of what we write is about travel, but some posts contain affiliate links to products such as credit cards. We may earn a commission from the companies behind those products, for example when you click a link, when you're approved for a card or when you open an account.
When you click one of these links, you go to the company's own site, sometimes through an affiliate network that tracks the referral for the company. That's how the company knows you came from us.
How compensation affects what you see
This compensation may affect which products we write about and how, where and in what order they appear on the site.
We don't cover every company, every credit card or every offer available. There may be cards that suit you better than the ones we write about.
Our editorial policy
The opinions in our posts are the writer's own. They are not those of any bank, card issuer, airline or hotel chain, and they have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any of these companies.
Information about a card, including rates and fees, is accurate as of the publishing date and has not been provided or endorsed by the card issuer. Card offers and terms change, so check the current terms on the issuer's site before you apply.
If you spot something that looks wrong, let us know at info@happilyabroad.com.
What we don't do
- We don't issue credit cards or make credit decisions. The card issuer reviews your application and decides whether to approve you and what your credit limit is.
- We don't take applications. You apply on the issuer's site, and the issuer's terms apply.
- We don't give personal financial advice. What we write is general and doesn't take your finances into account.

Questions about an application or a card you already have should go to the card issuer.
